10 Yellow vests of Halstead competed in Sunday’s Pleshey Half Marathon. Perfect weather conditions for running meant for some very quick times over the 13.1 mile course. Mike Grealy’s performance secured him 1st place in the Essex County Grand Prix series, which will be confirmed next week at the Tiptree 10. There were PB’s for several including Jon Greenley who knocked an impressive 8 minutes from his previous best.

Multi Sport specialist Mel Candler tackled the Great Notley Dualthon on a cold windy Sunday morning. Competing over distances of a 4K Run, 20k Bike and 4K Run, Mel finished in 1:19:11 to take 6th placed lady.

Andy Wilmot ran a marathon double at Barrow, near Bury St Edmunds. In Saturday’s event he completed the 26.2 mile course in 4:30, whilst on Sunday’s race he finished in 4:41.

Dan Smith ran in Sunday’s Flower Of Suffolk trail marathon. Starting at Walberswick, Suffolk. The 27.2 mile route runs through Dunwich, Minsmere and Sizewell. A few minor navigational issues meant that Dan actually ran 28 miles finishing in 5:34.
