Stebbing Remembrance Day 10

Halstead fielded an impressive 25 athletes for Sundays Stebbing Remembrance Day 10 Mile road race.  This popular event attracted a field of 450 athletes who partake in a church service with an impeccably observed minutes silence prior to the start.  The tough hilly course is a real test for anyone, however Juan De Gea (pictured) led the yellows of Halstead home, storming round in a PB time 1:06:45.  Wes Atkins also put in a fine performance finishing in 1:15:32 taking a huge chunk of time from his previous best time.  There were a total of 11 new PB’s recorded

A team of 5 took on the Hobble Trial Run at Galleywood Common on Sunday.  In muddy conditions over a 14 mile course Gavin Allen and Stuart Prestney were first home for the club in a time of 1:57.  Bob Langley and Lee Cullen enjoyed the event so much that they ran an extra mile after a ‘navigation issue’.

Halstead Road Runners Ultra Marathon Runners Kate Allen and Andy Wilmot completed the Kings Park 50km Ultra Marathon in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday. Wilmot in 5:15 and Kate Allen in 6:31
