Halsteads’ runners turned their attention to Sundays Gt Bentley Half Marathon with 19 of the clubs runners taking on the popular event in glorious weather conditions, with the flat 13.1 mile course attracting another strong field of athletes.

 
Stuart Prestney (pictured) ran a fine race leading the yellows of Halstead home to finish 54th, whilst Dan Hollinshead put in a performance worthy of note to finish in 1:32:56 to mark a impressive PB. There were also PB’s for Juan De Gea, Captain Jim Clark, Glynn Stone and Rosie Atkins. Whilst Neil Poulter marked his comeback from recent injury to finish in 1:41:52.

London Marathon entrants Stuart Prestney, Nia Fortuna, Rosie Atkins, Sam Wilson, Del Harrington and Aaron Heard used this event as training for their April date in the capital city.
