The weekend started at the Felixstowe Friday 5 at Kirton. Wes Atkins and Stewart Ellis both ran fantastic pbs on the multi-terrain course breaking the 30 minute barrier. Wes finished in 29:16 knocking 45 seconds off his previous best with Stewart seconds behind in 29:24.

Chairman Breaks PB

Halstead Road Runners’ Chairman Paul Hinsley ran an amazing PB of 3:16:08 at Edinburgh Marathon knocking 8 minutes off his previous best. Conditions were perfect with a sea fog keeping the sun at bay.

High Easter 10k

Gavin Allen and Pete Robinson competed in the High Easter 10k road race today. Frinton and Walton Half Marathon

The weather did a complete about turn from last weekend’s hot London Marathon, with very cold and windy conditions. Caroliena Cameron and Jo Roulson took on the Frinton and Walton Half Marathon. Caroliena finished in 1:45:26 with Jo knocking 4 minutes off her previous personal best in 1:55:29.
