A injury hit squad of ten members took on the new course at Wherstead, Ipswich. Situated next to the Suffolk Food Hall, the two lap course ran alongside the River Orwell with a couple of inclines thrown in.

In the ladies race, 107 finished the course. For Halstead, Kathryn Bronson had an outstanding run finishing 21st- this being only her second outing. She was ably assisted by Lorraine Garnham 37th, Hazel Buist 52nd and Julia Woolnough 104th. This gave the ladies a 3rd place finish on the day.

The men’s race was hotly contested with 196 crossing the finishing line. Stewart Ellis brought team HRR home in 28th closely followed by Stuart Prestney 34th. The other two scorers for HRR were John Markham 118th and Sam Wolton 125th. After a loss of footwear Andy Carter finished 128th & Chris Hill 159th. This performance also gave the men 3rd place on the day which means Halstead stay in 3rd place in the overall league position after 4 rounds.
